Slow Cooked Pork Chops and Applesauce


Slow cooking pork is a wonderful was to get extremely tender and moist meat.  It's an easy meal that consists of combining ingredient's and walking away.  With the right mixture of spices, its terrific. Super tender and flavorful. Its also a fantastic Autumn dish!

I served this with garlic and chive mashed potatoes.  Recipe coming soon!

A dish the whole family will love!

Ingredient's:
3 lbs of boneless or bone-in pork chops
24 oz jar of unsweetened applesauce or 4 cups of homemade applesauce
3/4 cup of brown sugar, light or dark
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp Chinese five spice

Directions:
1. In large skillet heat olive oil and brown pork chops on each side for 3 minutes
2. In a 4 - 6 quart crock pot, place the pork chops in even layers.
3. Pour the applesauce and brown sugar over top, evenly sprinkle the cinnamon and Chinese five spice over the top.
4. Cook on low for 5 - 6 hours or on high for 3 - 4 hours.
